My 5th birthday celebration with him..

A pleasant and sweet surprise.
At Mount Faber, a very meaningful place to us.
I was kinda shock when the live band starts mentioning my name and then a birthday song.
Then, the staff walk in with a cake, then a bouquet of roses.
OH MY. OH MY.

Thanks for the arrangement.
Thanks for making me feel loved.
Thanks for making my birthday special.
I swear i felt like a VIP that night.
Starry starry night, cooling breeze..
We feel like on the top of the world.

The 2nd bouquet from in this 4+ years.
The first bouquet was our first Vday together.

I am not a sweet tooth person, and not really a fan of cakes.
However, this is yummy!!! =D~~
With a layer of strawberry, a layer of mango.
It’s so freshly made.
I can’t resist but to google for this bakery.

I reminded him not to get me any present, as I’ve already got the ring.
We should try to save as much as we can now.
However this surprise costs him quite a bit.
=/

And of cos to all my friends who made an effort to sms, email, FB msg, msn etc… to wish me.

Confirmed our Wedding Band

Criteria of our wedding band

Design
We dunwan anything too fanciful or too eye catching.
For me, it is important to match with my solitaire as I am going to wear them on the same finger.
In fact, my initial idea was without diamond. I just want a plain ring but it looks like those kiddish couple ring!

Material
Platinium, White Gold, Rose Gold.
FYI, Platinium will not turn yellowish after long time. Price is slightly more expensive.
Eric prefer to have a mix of rose and white gold which i am fine with.

Price
I know some couple wouldn’t mind getting a pair up to a few Ks, but not for us.
We dunwan to wear an expensive ring everyday, get scratched and heart pain.
So price must be reasonable.
Next time when it’s beyond polish, we can get a new pair on our 10th anniversary. =)

Comfort
Since we have to wear this 24/7, it must be of comfortable thickness.
Lesson learnt from our couple ring,
(dun laugh, we got it many years ago and i’ve already lost mine. =P)
The gap between fingers should be able to close up.

Just when we made up our mind that we should custom make our wedding band,
Cousin Ling recommended a new series from Soo Kee, by a local designer.
Happened that Eric and I were shopping in town and passed by Soo Kee,
we saw the series on display and decided why not just try it on.
It looks pretty decent with my solitaire which is my main concern during the search.
The groom’s design is not what Eric is looking for, anyway i think it doesn’t look serious in him.
Fortunately, he found a classic band to match mine which he is very happy with!

I think we have the same feeling for this pair.
It fits perfectly and the price is within the budget we set.
Though we have decided to only get our wedding band after our photoshoot,
And as usual, being the kiasu bride couple,
we decided, we should get it now.
Who knows what will happened after April right?
And i guessed, Eric is tired of going into the shops to try and try and try.

And I am secretly feeling delighted that the bands can make it for our Photoshoot!

Bridezilla

Now i know what is meant by Bridezilla.
I can feel the symptoms and i am so sure that i am in the process of transforming.

I was quite bo liao that  day and was changing settings and profile of my FB account.
Then i told Eric I am going to change my relationship status and ask if he want or not.
His reaction was No. Don’t want announce via FB la.
He is quite shy one.
So i respect his decision, and change mine.
I have no intention to announce anyway cause my settings are set to private one,
Will not publish on the wall.
So, no one comment anything.
Unless they click into my profile page.

Yesterday, Eric was surfing FB.
Somehow i think he accepted the status request..
And it’s published to everyone’s wall on his friend list!
WAHAHA!

I just thought their comments were quite funny.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year Everyone! And happy birthday to my Darling Eric! It’s finally 2010.
And i can tell people who asked me when is my wedding, that my wedding is NEXT year! Not the year after! hehehe!
The year after just sound too far away and people gave me strange stares. Whatever.

Since we are about 1 year away (estimate la) from our wedding, meaning we should confirm most things already.
Will be meeting PG and VG soon, confirm our itinerary to Taiwan, booking of hotel! A bit lost here.. haven decide on the trip yet. And my gowns.. big headache. Any scoliosis bride out there can give advice? Decided to push back our wedding band hunt since we are likely to custom make. =)

PG and VG

I though I am already very fast. My AD is in 2011, and I have already confirm my Pre wedding shoot and Banquet. Done some research on JPs, and looking around for wedding band and AD package.Today, i was looking for PG for eric’s brother’s solemnisation. We intend to engage a PG as a gift for them. So i went to do some research, saw 1 portfolio which i thought is not bad, and i emailed him for a quotation. And guess what.. he is not available on the brother’s solemnisation and my AD in 2011! He is booked. This makes me a little uptight. Are wedding couples all so kiasu? *sweat*
And so.. i did some homework tonight. Coincidentally, the one that Alice shortlisted, is the one i like, and is the one that Eric’s friend recently engaged. And Eric knows him!! what a small world! Waiting for his rates. sigh.

Shortlisted Wedding Band

Shortlisted these 2 so far.
2 diff styles.
The first one is really nice, a bit thick but surprisingly fits quite well on my finger.
Unlike those classic design, this is unique and trendy.
Oh.. other than engraving, can also print our photo or thumbprint. cool hor!

The second one is sleek and elegant. Matches well with my solitaire. Quite elegant looking and less attention seeking.

We should be opting for a mix and match since both of us have diff expectations of the ring.
Furthermore, this have to be worn a lifetime.
We’re not in a hurry to purchase yet, just hope that we can a better one.

Any comments on these 2 designs?

Wedding Band

So it’s really not easy to find the perfect wedding band.
Have been window shopping around but nothing caught our eyes so far.
white gold? platinum? rose gold?
classic? signature? diamond? plain?
Either rings are too thick for me or too thin for Eric.
Headache!

Ricoh CX2

T10 was a birthday present from Eric i think 3 years ago.. or isit 4?
I cant remember..
It still looks as chio as i first got it except for some light scratches. =(
The thing about gadgets are.. they dun last.
Even though it’s still working fine but the quality of images taken is bad bad bad.
Especially after the HK trips.. I’m 100% certain that we NEED (YA not a want anymore) a new camera.
Eric have also gave a nod to get a new camera before our Taiwan trip to capture proper photos.

Did research and shortlisted 2 cameras..
Panasonic Lumix LX 3 and Ricoh (with no particular model in mind).
Both are Japanese brands.
After seeing SS’s photo quality, I’m impressed.
This brand has not really do much marketing here.
But overseas, it’s a hot hot brand!
And very few shops carry this brand in Singapore and it’s quite expensive..
so I almost gave up the idea…

UNTIL……. We saw Best Denki having Digital Fair!
From afar i saw RICOH.
And it’s selling at a very very good deal.

SA: Ya. Too bad they don’t do much marketing locally.
Eric: That’s why a lot of places don’t sell this brand. *act like he know a lot*
SA: A lot of people duno this brand but those who know are 识 货 的 。

And me… i am still smiling away….. hahahaha!

I smile so much until my facial muscles almost cramp. HAHA.

2) The quality is good!!
3) 5 frames/second! Yes you read that right!
4) It’s such a good steal.

5) This model is just a few mths old, and they seldom of promotion!
6) We paid 559 only! (we could have pay lesser with installment but eric dun wan to drag………..)
7) Eric know nuts about this brand but behave like he know a lot after hearing from me. booo.
