Actually wanna print out a poster to place at the hotel but we didnt la.
We have alot of ideas while planning, but when the date get nearer, we don’t have time for all these!

Nubra is magical. Dont worry if you cant wear it right, the MUA or coordinator are pro!!
Just remember:-
-do not put perfume or powder
-wipe your boobies before putting on the magical bra
-if you have already stick on and remove again, check the stickiness. If it is not as sticky,
wash with warm water and wait for it to air dry
-put in the box after use
-Google or youtube more on it!

Wedding Gown Choice 1

Love the top part.
Actually this picture show no justice to the gown. It’s actually quite blink on the bottom!
But the tiers and ribbons look like curtain and the shape and support is not there.

Wedding Gown Choice 2
This is my selected piece.
It looks pretty normal but after trying so many,  i am still more comfortable with this.
Like what people said, you will know which gown to choose once you have fitted on. =)
There is embriodery and beads on the top, bottom also has some beads.

I am very sure i don’t want pink, red, orange purple.. all these range of colours.
I wanted royal blue for my Evening Gown.
But i cant find one design that suit me well.

Evening Gown Choice 1

Really like the heart shape design and colour! Almost perfect.
Too bad all feedback that it looks more like D&D dress.

Evening Gown Choice 2

I really like this gown, except that i wish the colour is not in gold cause it doesnt complement my skin tone well.
But i guess it matches quite well in the ballroom against the red walls.

Very Sweet, again, this picture show no justice to the blink!!
Anyway this is the only piece that suit me really well and nice on me.

Teadress- Kua
Opt for a Kua, kinda big on me..
But ok la.. wear awhile only. Match it with a Kua heels!
Too bad the PG dint capture it.

And this is my hand bouquet.
While some prefer to have brighter colours, i prefer pale colour- white or champagne roses
I find it more classy, you cant see it from the pic, but there are little plastic/crystal ‘droplets’ tied together.

The day before wedding day, Eric went to collect the bouquet and realised the florist has forgotten the ‘droplets’.
I’m glad that Eric still remember my request! He even request the florist to change the ribbon to blue~
HAhahaha!!! *LOVES*

Here is Eric’s white suit.
He wore it with a bow in the evening and a tie in the morning.
(Weird. Why is he wearing a watch?!)

This is our favourite suit. Abit Korean style.
He wore this for our solemnisation.

And this is the black gown he rented from Bridalcloset.
Because the black suit which he like from Cangai is too fitting for him.
Actually we can do without the black suit since the Korean style suit is pretty decent,
but black suit seems more formal and appropriate for Dinner March in.

Coincidentally, my brother is smaller built, and cant find any from the brothers range,
So he wore Eric’s one.

As friends around me are getting hitched, and i have received PM and smses in regard to wedding preparation, i think i should blog down as much as i can remember.

I would say that i really miss the process of wedding preparation, these are memories which i want to have even when i’m old.

This is the design i choose from the book. Request for without the round ring.

The actual set of customise nails. Seriously, it turn out nicer than i have expected.
It came with a free roll of tape, i think i did not use enough that’s why it dropped.

Still ok la hor? i took off immediately after the dinner so that i can count my angbao, pack my things and wash my hair in peace!
Trust me, with long nails it’s a big hassle!

We have much choices when come to nails. I’ve tried gelish and acrylic nail extension and i don’t really like it.
They just don’t last on my fingers. And the aftermath is depressing.

Coincidentally, we came across this booth at BOWS, which have good promo for customise fake nails.

Advantages:-
1) For ladies with uneven nail shape.
2) Can use as long as the nail can last.
3) Crystals can be replaced for free
4) Can remove the next day after wedding for honeymoon!

Disadvantage:-
I love crystals and bling, but it is really expensive. Price approx $400 and above.
I went to the shop alone and spent much time there as i cannot decide.
I called Eric hoping that he will sponsor the design which i like but he has no signs of sponsoring. *Bleah*
Anyway i am glad that i chose the one within my budget because i only used once which is on my wedding day!
And i almost got heart attack, cos just 1 hour prior to my solemnisation, i realised I dropped 1 ‘nail’!!!!!!!!
And i dont even know where i dropped!! Thank God, Eric managed to found it.
I duno how he did it… I guessed he turn the hotel suite upside down, trace back where i went and what i did..
HE FOUND MY TINY LITTLE NAIL.

Eric bought 2 new pairs of shoes for himself.
1 white 1 black. Spent more than $100/pair and he only wear the white one ONCE.
Even though he knows that the chances of him wearing again is almost zero, he still bought.
Hiao.

Tips: It’s good to have 2 sets of teapot set. One for each family so that you dont have to bring the set around.
I borrowed this from my cousin, this was my first love design. So I’m very happy that my cousin actually has it!
In addition, she have the bowl set in the same design too!!

Oranges, Liquor & misc things which Eric brought along for GDL.
Tips: Buy the liquor at DFS or find any possible contacts you have, like friends working in bar etc.
If your parents are fine, bring the liquor along to the banquet dinner. Just a little note, if the bottles are bought from DFS, they cannot be bring into the banquet ballroom, drinks will be poured at the cocktail area.

Pork Trotters Can. Can’t remember how many we bought.. 2 dozens or more i think..
Tips: Buy when there is discount! It’s ok to buy and keep one. You can save quite abit.

They don’t sell any cake at the shop, however you can request for free sample to taste.

We were comparing between Pine garden and Sweetest Moments. Though we have no doubt with PG, however when we were there at the shop, nobody serve us, we were only looking at the catalogues by ourselves. Of course this is not the main reason why we chose SM.

This is the artwork for the card. I think it’s quite nice la.
Because they have only 2 standard designs, i don’t why they design something different for me. =D

Part of what we spent for GDL in those wedding shop.
If you are not those traditional kind, and parents are ok to do without it or just a simple one, be firm when you are in the shop.
Chances are they will tell you EVERYTHING has to be new, so EVERYTHING also must buy. And every item has their meaning one.
I’m glad that we listen to them selectively.
They will also teach you what to do for the wedding custom if you have doubts.

For those who are forgoing the GDL, just check with both parents first. My suggestion is, just do it, can do a minimal one.
Wedding is once a lifetime, it’s an experience to visit relatives together with parents and hubby. =)
Especially those with traditional relatives, you would have to bring cakes and invitation card at least, to their house personally.
NO, no voucher please. It’s not thoughtful at all.

Blue ties for brothers.
Tips: Buy from Bangkok. Ties, ribbon, suspenders just buy from Bangkok!

Was procrastinating to get those floral wrist corsage or bracelet or those ring type with rose.
When i decided to get the ring, there is not enough stock for blue rose.
So decided to do this. Somehow the size doesnt fit too well for some sisters.
But then again, usually wont fit one unless you go for elastic type which i saw 2 weeks before my wedding!!!

This is our wedding car. Standard ribbon colour is pink and purple.
Before that, we already decided NO pink and somehow purple doesnt appeal to us either.
WE WANT BLUE la. Went to a few shops then found the suitable blue ribbon. Not cheap also.

Our morning wedding colour is blue. We are ok with different shades, as long as it is blue.

We like the bedsheet. is 400 over thread. really comfy!
And the design not too cheena right!
Best thing is, this is bought seperately, tips here!! you can just buy the quilt cover and pillow covers for the ‘xi’ and other normal red or pink bedsheet.

We bought it from Co’zy. Cant remember to price, but it’s reasonable.

This is Friennie, my MUA. Pretty babe and i really like her.
She is very patience and i think she did a good job to my eyes and hair.
Oh.. she is punctual too!!

I like him too!! cause he made us less tense with his jokes.
The crowd were also laughing along with us.
But be prepared cos he can be abit long winded,  just let him know that you have to finish by what time.

Our wedding gift which is shot glass  and poker card. But this poker design is not what i want , pity that they dont have enough stock for ’52 ways to say i love you’ poker card. Talking about this, i am very pissed with my coordinator. If not for him, i would have gotten the poker card i want!
I would ‘dedicate’ a post for him if i got time!

Another coordinator who helped us out instead is really kind, she arranged specially for me and eric for this. =)

I am alive and my wedding is 1 mth, 5 days away!!!!!!!!
Was surfing around and realised i haven been blogging for almost a year. =o

‘How’s your wedding preparation??’
Everyone around me is asking the same thing. So.. a brief of what have been done.. (Whatever cross my mind)

Food Tasting
Just had our food tasting last week. The nerve breaking thing is not how good the food is or what. BUT this is the first time both families meet. Can you imagine how nervous i was? However, it turns out really good!!! My mum is such a PR and I can see that FMIL is very happy that day. I was giggling away when they keep addressing each other as in-laws!! =D

Ok. Back to the food.
I don’t know if my flu has caused my poor appetite, i didnt eat much. Overall was good but some dishes was not to my expectation as it tasted better during the wedding show. Going to feedback.

Just a sneak preview of the roasted chicken. I didnt know head is usually served together! ‘
‘Poor chicken…. but you’ve got tender meat and taste really good.’

Wedding Heels
I was contemplating to custom make a pair of white heels because i have a simple design in mind which i can’t find in stores. Checked the price for customisation, approx $250. Just few days before i decide to have my order done, we went to The Wedding Mansion where Sinderella showroom is. This is not the first time there, but somehow i managed to see a pair which i kinda like and it’s very comfortable. Most importantly, way cheaper than customisation.

Also saw a pair of heels to match my Kua. I have seen this pair at Taobao and was hoping to have a pair. While some people opt for qibao or short gown for teadress, i chose to wear a traditional Kua, reason is simple. It can only worn once a lifetime. And i defintely want a footwear that can match.

Total damage of these 2 pairs are less than customisation for 1 pair!

Not from Sinderella, but got it at The Wedding Mansion. TWM is like a under one roof for wedding preparation.

4.5″ high!!!!!!!!!!!!! But still short beside Eric. Argh.

Just to add on, Eric got his shoes from Pedro! This hiao daboh chose a shiny surfaced black leather shoes. And for white shoes, my stand is dont bother buy so expensive one cause unlikely you will wear again and nobody will see one la. But he spent….. $100+ on a pair.

Our Room
And for everyone who are concerned with where we are residing after marriage, we will be staying my my parents for the time being, till our new flat is here.
1) I have my own room while Eric has to share with his brother, so it is not convenient for me to move over.
2) Our workplace is in the west. So it doesnt make sense to move to Serangoon and travel 1.5hr to work every day.

But we will still try to spend time with FMIL.

Furnishing is 85% done. Left some touching up of paint and shopping which eric said we will do it before Christmas 2010.
OH well………

I swear this would be our last time to buy furnitures from IKEA.
Just this small side drawer took Eric hours to assemble! And you guess what….
the top drawer can only open half. -.-

Pre-Wedding Shoot
I think have not blog about my wedding shoot in Taiwan……………
It was a nice experience, however the weather is so upsetting. =(
It rained the whole day.
Usually if the weather in Taipei is really bad, they would suggest to go to other places like Taoyuan, Yi Lan or anywhere which is not affected by wet weather. But this time, we really very suey. Cause all the nearby places rained.

Given 2 choice.
Postpone to another day OR Continue and proceed to take in the rain.
We took almost 10 days of leave for this trip. How to postpone?!
And so you will know why the photos look kind of glooomy. =(
We were shivering in the rain but shiok la.. i rather choose cold then sweat.

Layouts took us pretty long cause the BTB is fussy. =P
Harvard is suppose to bring them over for us but cause i missed their trip, cause of my delay for the album layout. So we have to pay for courier shipment. Heng lor. Only $100+ for the albums cause they bring over the frames to us when they were here for exhibition.

For Taiwan BS, grooms have to get their suit from another shop.

Signed an AD package with Cangai. Was worried that i cant find any gowns which i like OTR. Happy that the gowns were quite nice! One thing about choosing gowns, is that when you put on, you know that is for you. Despite my petite size and not perfect figure, managed to choose what i like.

Went for makeup trial already, eric loves both my day and night makeup while i prefer night makeup. Not bad, managed to do double eyelid. =)

Guo Da Li
Our GDL date is on 30 Jan. Mum just want a simple affair. We already bought 48 cans of trotters can for relatives.
And we will get our cakes from Sweetestmoments. Love the box design!!

Also went shopping with Eric and FMIL for 龙凤镯gold bangles. My wrist is so tiny. So difficult to find one that will fit. Basically almost all are too loose for me and we do not have enough time for custom make. Even if we have time, the thick bangle will look like handcuff on me.

To me, it is just a tradition and custom. What are we going to do with the kua zhang bangle after the wedding? So I decided to choose something simple and able to fit my wrist. We went to a lot of shops……… and finally found it……. i want to cry. hahahaha!!

Mum has also gotten us some gold.

And my favourite has got to be this. Meaningful ring passed from mum.

Miscellaneous

Nice 喜喜 bedsheet.
Looked around for very long and finally found a bedsheet set without those cheena wedding dolls.
But after i paid, i realised actually i can just buy the quilt and pillow cover. No need complete set. Anyway cannot see with the quilt spread over. $$~

Ordered this online. Service is good.
But if you are buying this, just make sure the handle can be hooked into the hole.
Cause i very suey. As the hole is too small, the handle cannot go in and i have to do an exchange.
